JT Project Services started in 2010 as a Sole Proprietor when it became evident that the client’s exact deliverables could be achieved with fewer resources when compared with larger companies. We implement “Pure-Logic-Planning” in our Projects, so why not when we supply a service? This strategy ensures better accuracy and faster deliverables to our clients.

Cost Engineers with a technical background can be used to Plan, Estimate, Schedule and set up Project Controls for better scope integration. It is a 3-in-one service.

The company became a registered company in April 2012 (2012/086381/07 (RSA)) and is a level 1 BBBEE Company.

Meet The Team

Stan Taylor

Director & Project Controls Manager

Stan has 34 years of mining & engineering experience and has been involved in Project Management & Cost Engineering for the past 28 years.

He started his career in a mechanical background with experience in Mining, Plants and Textiles.

As a strategist, he has extensive experience in Project Controls, Estimating, Planning, Scheduling, Earned Value Management, & Reporting.

He has experience in Deep-level, Open-pit, & Decline mining and Infrastructure and Tailings projects. Undertaking 3rd third-party audits on Contracts and Project Performance is also one area that he has added value to.

His formal qualifications include an MBA (NWU), PG Diploma (NWU), MDP (USB), Small Business Management (UCT), and a Fitter & Turner trade (MIETTB).

Riaan Joubert

Senior Cost Engineer

Riaan started his Project Management & Project Controls career 37 years ago. He was a key member of the success of many AngloGold Ashanti Projects, with a highlight being the Deepening of the Mponeng mine.

He has vast experience in Capital Governance, Estimating, Planning, Project Controls, Procurement & Reporting. He has been involved in Deep-level mining projects & Infrastructure projects and has extensive experience managing Contracts and Project Performance.

His formal qualifications include a Diploma in Management (Technicon SA), PMP (PMI), Certified Cost Profesional (AACEI), and a Fitter & Turner trade (MIETTB).

Dirk Kruger

Senior Cost Engineer

Starting his career in the private sector 31 years ago, Dirk has gained a lot of experience in engineering machining workshops and has been adding value to mining projects for the past 16 years.

He has excellent experience in Estimating, Planning, Scheduling, Project Controls, Procurement & Reporting. He has been involved in Mining & Tailings projects. Dirk also has good knowledge of Cost Management Software.

His formal qualifications include Project Management Certificates (Damelin & NWU), Certified Cost Technician (AACEI), and a Turner Machinist trade (CO&AI).

Ylandi Pretorius

Contracts Administrator & Project Accountant

Ylandi started her career in the administration world, and 28 years ago, she got involved in the world of Projects and Project Accounting. Over and above her role as a Project Accountant, she also has extensive knowledge of Occupational Health & Safety.

She has extensive experience in Project Accounting, Cost Controls, contractor performance, Financial Reporting, Procurement & Reporting. Ylandi has been involved in Mining & Tailings projects and has excellent Cost & Financial Management Software knowledge.

Her formal qualifications include a Business Management Diploma, Project Management Certification (NWU), and Certification in OSHA.

Dalene Wagner

Cost Engineer & Accountant

Dalene is an accountant with 27 years of experience in mining and construction project environments. Combined with financial accounting functions over the last decade, managing general ledger maintenance, payroll functions, financial statements, and statutory SARS returns demonstrates her adaptability and comprehensive understanding of financial processes.

Her Cost Engineering experience includes financial valuations, assisting with model inputs to calculate the NPV, IRR & payback periods on projects.

Dalene’s qualifications include an ICBA Diploma (Institute Certified Bookkeepers and Accountants), a CIMA Certificate in Business Accounting and a Certified Cost Technician (AACEI) certification.

Nika Taylor

Project Administrator

Nika is our newly appointed trainee eager to learn and assist with various project administration functions.

Combined with her studies for a Bachelor of Laws degree, her focus is on gaining professional knowledge of contracts; she will be able to contribute effectively to various aspects of project management, ensuring that legal considerations are thoroughly addressed.
